Record Books

4-H Record Books are also called e-Records, they can be downloaded from the State 4-H Website. Each project has its own record book that members are required to complete each year. Listed below you will find the links to e-Records in the specific project areas. Record books are turned in at Interview Judging before the Jeffco Fair & Festival. In June, you will need to schedule an interview for each of your project areas. Finally, you will bring your record book with you to Interview Judging the week of the Jeffco 4-H Fair.

Stan Sours Versatility Award and Scholarship

Versatility is being capable of doing many things competently and having a wide variety of skills.
In honor of Stan Sours, the award is given to an individual who has touched and influenced many lives through their horsemanship and love of people. Stan Sours symbolized VERSATILITY.
This award is given in honor of Stan Sours who at age 14 was selected as outstanding 4-H member. Stan was active with the Horse industry and the agriculture community. He received many awards for his dedication to the Horse Industry and in 2002 was named Top Hand of the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo for his volunteer work. He served on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Advisory Board for 21 years and was a member of the board of directors of the Continental Divide Trail Alliance, Colorado Horse Park, Roundup Riders of the Rockies, and a member of the Colorado Horse Council. Stan taught people respect through his actions. His daughter Shirlene said that her father would say it wasn’t really important how much people liked you, but instead how much they respected you. He said that respect is so much more difficult to obtain but in the long run is more rewarding. Stan did everything with honesty and dignity and he treated everyone with fairness, respect, and consideration. You know, it is often said in 4-H that it is better to have a blue-ribbon kid with a red-ribbon project than to have a red-ribbon kid with a blue-ribbon project. Stan Sours characterized this philosophy. Stan Sours touched and influenced so many lives through his horsemanship and love of people. Stan Sours symbolized VERSATILITY.

Keeping ahead of COVID-19

This rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) has imposed an unsettling, fluid situation upon our community and its businesses. While the team here still aims to maintain a “business as usual” approach, we are making a number of significant changes to our operations to account for a situation that is far from normal.
