Colorado State University Extension offices like the one in Jefferson County bring the research and resources of the university within easy reach, and our staff are here to help.

We’re looking for people that can relate to kids . . .

Are you comfortable working with kids?  Are you at least 18 years of age? Do you like to share about the world around you, how to make things work or creating experiments? Could you use a little extra cash?  4-H STEM AmeriCorps might be just the place for you!

These limited term positions are affiliated with AmeriCorps, a Corporation for National and Community Service program, and include a living allowance and an Education Award when completing the maximum 450-hour commitment by July 31, 2020.

Colorado State University Extension in Jefferson County administers the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) AmeriCorps program that seeks to inspire youth to explore STEM careers through the 4-H youth development programs.  As an AmeriCorps member you would plan, lead and instruct disadvantaged youth in Jefferson County. Consider this unique opportunity to support young people toward greater likelihood of high school graduation.  The next required orientation is April 25-26, 2020; you could begin immediately following the orientation with close to full time hours.
