We’re looking for people that can relate to kids . . .

Were you always comfortable with math?  Did you have an easy time with chemistry?  Would you be able to explain the forces around you to a young person?  Then you’re just the type of person that’s wanted and needed!

Jefferson County is looking for adults 18 and older to plan, lead and instruct 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programming in area schools.  These part-time, limited term positions are affiliated with AmeriCorps, a Corporation for National and Community Service program, and include a living allowance and an Education Award when completing the maximum 900-hour, one-year commitment.

Colorado State University Extension in Jefferson County administers the STEM AmeriCorps program that seeks to inspire youth to explore STEM careers through the 4-H youth development programs.  Consider this unique opportunity to support young people toward greater likelihood of high school graduation.
