The mission of From Our Lands To Your Hands is to open the eyes of local fourth grade students to the importance of agriculture and natural resource conservation in their daily lives.
“From Our Lands to Your Hands – Jefferson County” was held at the Jeffco Fairgrounds in early November. Over 400 students participated in the event. Over 10 interactive presentations were given by local farmers, ranchers, growers, ag/conservation organizations, and agencies to help broaden students’ agriculture literacy.
The event was hosted by the “From Our Lands to Your Hands – Jefferson County” Planning Committee, which is a partnership between of local conservation/agriculture-related agencies such as CSU Extension, Jefferson County Conservation District, NRCS, and Farm Service Agency. The first “From Our Lands to Your Hands – Jefferson County” was made possible with valuable assistance of sponsors and volunteers.
